Head Basketball Coach of the LSU Tigers

Will Wade is the men's basketball coach at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has kept the momentum in the program established by Shaka Smart. VCU was an NCAA Tournament participant in Wade's first season at the helm. The Rams went 25-11 and won the Atlantic 10 regular season title. It was the program's sixth straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Following the season, Wade received an eight-year contract extension through 2024. Prior to returning to VCU, he spent two seasons as the head coach at Chattanooga. Each season, the Mocs posted winning records and finishes second in the Southern Conference. Following his first year, Wade was names Southern Conference Coach of the Year. When he led Chattanooga to a 20-win season in 2015, it was the program's first in ten seasons. Wade helped establish VCU's winning culture as a top assistant under Smart from 2009-2013. Prior to that, he was an assistant at Harvard University. Wade got his start in basketball at Clemson University, where he was a student manager before becoming a graduate assistant and Director of Basketball Operations.
