Actor Known for Playing Chidi Anagonye on "The Good Place"

William Jackson Harper is an actor known for portraying Chidi Anagonye on the NBC comedy "The Good Place."

Born in Dallas, Texas, Harper graduated from the College of Santa Fe in 2003.

Harper made his Broadway debut in 2014, cast as James Harrison and Stokely Carmichael in "All the Way."

From 2009 to 2011, Harper starred in the PBS children's series "The Electric Company."

Prior to being cast on "The Good Place" in 2016, Harper considering quitting acting. His performance as Anagonye has received critical acclaim, and in 2019, he was nominated for a Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
