Yiying Lu is an award-winning bilingual (English & Chinese) artist, entrepreneur, and speaker with more than 10 years of experience in Branding, Design & Creativity. She was named a Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business, a "Top 10 Emerging Leader in Innovation" by Microsoft, and the first Shorty Awards winner in Design. Her projects have been featured in many publications, including The New York Times, Forbes, The Atlantic, Fast Company, TIME, CNN, BBC, San Francisco Chronicle, TechCrunch, Mashable, The Huffington Post and so on.
Yiying has been running her creative studio YIYING LU since 2007, with global clients such as Disney, Twitter, Conan O'Brien, PepsiCo, Microsoft, Expedia, Scholastic, SXSW, Sony and so on. She has been traveled to more than 20 countries and spoken at international conferences & events around the world, such as South By South West, WebSummit, RISE Summit (Hong Kong), StartupCon (Korea), Myriad (Australia), Smashing Conference, Design Guru Summit (San Francisco), Beyond Tellerrand (Berlin) and so on.
Yiying is currently based in San Francisco, with affiliation at NYU Shanghai Program in Creativity & Innovation. She was IDEO Shanghai's first Artist in Residence in China. Previously, she was the Creative Director at 500 Startups, where she provided creative user acquisition & branding strategies for hundreds of startups to improve their business.
