Yosef Abramowitz is co-founder of the solar industries in Israel, East Africa, West Africa and elsewhere and serves as CEO of Energiya Global Capital, a Jerusalem-based enterprise working to bring solar power to developing countries through Impact Investments. An entrepreneur, environmentalist and human rights activist, Abramowitz was recently featured on "The Next List" of innovators with Sanjay Gupta, and CNN named him one of the six leading "Green Pioneers" worldwide. Abramowitz previously served three decades in NGO work in the fields of human rights, education and hunger and was co-nominated three times for a Nobel Peace Prize for his work in the former Soviet Union. He was voted "Person of the Year" in 2012 by the Israel National Business and Energy Conference.
