Yves Bergquist is a data scientist and AI researcher. He is the CEO of AI engineering firm Novamente, as well as the Director of the Data & Analytics Project at the University of Southern California’s Entertainment Technology Center. As part of ETC, which is funded by all 6 Hollywood studios, Yves has taken the industry-wide lead in designing and developing AI and machine learning applications for the entire entertainment industry.

He and his team have successfully developed a quantitative model of how various narrative structures drive performance for movies, trailers, and marketing campaigns. He’s the lead designer and architect of “Contender” the world’s first AI-driven content marketing intelligence engine, which mines social media conversations for deep semantic insights on how specific narrative structures impact ad performance for brands.
