Zach LaVine

NBA Player for the Chicago Bulls

Zach LaVine is a professional basketball player for the Chicago Bulls. He played college basketball for UCLA, where he performed well and was voted to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and was named the team's most valuable freshman (along with Bryce Alford).

LaVine declared for the NBA draft in 2914 after just one season in college. He was the 13th overall pick and drafted by the Minnesota Timberwolves. He became the team's starting point guard after their regular starter sustained an ankle injury. LaVine was the second ever teenager in the NBA to score 25 points and 5 assists as a reserve. He also won the Slam Dunk Contest twice.

LaVine continued to play for the Timberwolves through the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons. In a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder he set a franchise record for a bench player with 35 points. LaVine also won MVP for Team USA in the Rising Stars Challenge. In 2017, he tore his ACL in his left leg and underwent surgery to reconstruct his knee. He was later traded to the Chicago Bulls.
