Zazie Olivia Beetz is an American actress. She is best known for her starring role as Vanessa "Van" Keefer on the FX comedy-drama series Atlanta, for which she has been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series. She also appeared in the Netflix anthology series Easy. Beetz has starred as Dana in the disaster film Geostorm and as the Marvel Comics character Domino in the superhero film Deadpool 2.

Beetz was born at the Charité in Berlin-Mitte. Her father is a cabinet maker and her mother is a social worker from New York. Beetz attended kindergarten and elementary school in Berlin, but she was raised in uptown Manhattan as well, speaking both German and English with her family at home.

She became interested in acting while in grade school and performed in community theaters and on local stages. One of her first student jobs was at Alexa Einkaufszentrum working in its H&M store. She received training from Muscota New School, the Harlem School of the Arts and LaGuardia Arts High school. She attended Skidmore College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in French. She spent a year living in Paris and felt "very enamoured with it in a romantic way".

Zazie is set to star as Sophie Dumond in the 2019 film Joker, alongside Joaquin Phoenix and Robert De Niro.
