Zhuoyan Zhang

Analyist,Frontier Advisory

Born and raised up in China, I came to South Africa by myself with a strong passion about the African continent. Currently, I am focusing on capital advisory and related research and strategy work for emerging markets. Previously, I worked with UNEP's Headquarter in Kenya, McKinsey and Company in Beijing, and conducted independent projects with various clients in Nigeria, India, and China.

I graduated with a Master degree in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School of Government and hold a Bachelor degree in Management from Renmin University of China. I was also once exchanged to University of Copenhagen studying International Economics and Climate Change.

At Harvard, I co-chaired the first ‘China Energy and Environment Conference’ and was actively engaged in various activities as the vice president of Harvard Kennedy School China Society. Prior to Harvard, I went to International Antarctica Expedition as a youth leader from China in 2010 and was awarded Bayer Global Young Environment Envoy by UNEP in 2009 for her active engagements in environmental activities. In 2007, I founded the first Chinese youth association network promoting social entrepreneurship and social innovation in China.
