Zia Victoria is an 18-year-old musical phenomenon known for her expressive voice, as well as introspective and persuasive songwriting. Internationally recognized, Victoria's star continues to rise following her recent UK and Paris performances, opening for legendary Grammy award-winning artist Seal. Hailing from a new generation of artists, Victoria's music resonates with listeners, cross generational, illustrating wisdom and maturity beyond her years.
At age 11, Victoria's powerful vocals brought Hoda Kotb to tears when she performed "Taking Flight" on The Today Show. At age 16, Victoria signed to Warner Chappell Music, and recently she graduated from LAAMP (Los Angeles Academy for Artists & Music Production), a collaborative music program for artists, producers, and songwriters, co-founded by the production duo Stargate (Beyonce, Katy Perry, Rihanna). While attending LAAMP, Victoria began working on her recently released debut EP 05 BABY with Stargate. During these sessions, Victoria co-wrote and co-produced 16 songs, including her first single, "Everybody's Gonna Die!" Her music has been featured on many Spotify playlists including New Music Friday and Fresh Finds.
In 2022, at age 17, Victoria caught Seal's attention when a friend shared her cover of his hit song, "Crazy." ln awe of her extraordinary talent and fresh perspective, Seal asked Victoria to join him on stage for his 2023 summer shows in New York City and Los Angeles. Victoria captivated audiences with her magnetic presence, prompting Seal's inimitable invitation for her to share the spotlight as the official 'opening act' for his fall 2023 European tour. Bridging the gap between musical generations and celebrating raw talent at its finest, their unprecedented collaboration combined musical prowess and produced electrifying performances.
Seal's unequivocal belief in Victoria is captured in his quote that her voice has "the potential to heal the next generation." Forever grateful for Seal's invaluable guidance, Victoria aims to pay it forward and help other young people achieve their dreams by supporting nonprofit YPI, Youth Performance Institute. Combining mentorship, coaching, character development and technology, YPI's mission is to ensure kids of all backgrounds have the tools they need to overcome personal challenges, advance their talents, and live their lives to the fullest.
