Bob Probert was a talented player for the NHL's  Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Blackhawks. Probert is known for being an enforcer and one of the greatest fighters in NHL history.

In the late 80's and early 90's he was quite a character on and off the ice.He was nicknamed a "Bruise Brother" along with then-Red Wing teammate Joe Kocur.

Probert was a third round pick (46th overall) in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, along with fellow draftees Kocur and long-tme team captain Steve Yzerman.

In 1987-88, Probert developed his fighting abilities with an incredible 398 penalty minutes. He also showed offensive brilliance by tying for third on his team in points with 62, along with Petr Klima. He was fortunate to play in his first and only NHL All-Star Game that season.
