In two years, Cotter Cunningham has built WhaleShark into one of the world’s largest online coupon and deals marketplaces.

Operating several web sites including RetailMeNot.com, Deals.com and VoucherCodes.co.uk that offer deals and discounts from a global community of merchants, WhaleShark profitably generates more than $80 million in revenue and facilitates an estimated $1.7 billion dollars in merchant sales annually. Cotter Cunningham has led efforts to raise over $300 million in investment funding for WhaleShark. Previously, he was chief operating officer of Bankrate which underwent an initial public offering during his tenure. Prior to Bankrate, he was vice president and general manager, interactive, with VML, now part of advertising and marketing conglomerate WPP.
