Debra Kimbrough  

Child Safety Expert, Debra Kimbrough, protects children by teaching parents and teachers better supervision and guidance skills.

Debra's expertise comes from her twenty plus years experience as an abuse/neglect investigator, child care center director, state child care licensing representative, consultant, expert witness in the courts, and full-time speaker/trainer for the past ten years. 

Owner and founder of A Better Caregiver Workshops, Inc. a child care seminar business.  Debra's presented over 1500  keynotes and seminars across the country and has assisted in over 100 court cases. 

Debra says that, "an untrained staff is a risk to children - and a liability to schools".  She adds that "to protect children at all times, every caregiver must have specific knowledge and skills "  To help adults develop these skills, Debra wrote, "The Guidance Series", the set of  skills needed by adults responsible for the safety and welfare of children in out-of-home care.   With the use of original humor and music, Debra gets us to look objectively at our responsibility of keeping children safe.

Author of, "Octavia's New Red Shoes", a picture book and CD that teaches lessons to both children and adults, Debra is also the singer of "Duck Tape" and "America, We Love You".   Her fourth CD, "Growing Up Fast, some of songs about early childhood, is quickly becoming  a favorite among children and adults.
