Johnny Chan was born in Canton, China and moved to Las Vegas to become a professional gambler was he was 21. Chan, known as The Orient Express, is unarguably one of the top three most recognizable poker players in the world, sharing good company with Poker Royalty clients Doyle Brunson and Phil Hellmuth.

Johnny is the last player in poker history to have won back to back WSOP Main Event titles, and only one of four multiple bracelet winners, making him a true legend of the game.

As of 2012, Chan holds 10 World Series of Poker bracelets, a feat tied with Doyle Brunson, and only bested by Phil Hellmuth who currently holds 13.

Chan's efforts to solidify himself as one of the true greats of the game came in 2002, when he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame. Johnny continues to make his mark in the poker world. He's competed on every major poker broadcast, and continues to prove he's always a threat for another bracelet, or perhaps multiple bracelets.

Chan is known for keeping a "lucky" orange in front of him on the table, and after capturing his second consecutive WSOP title, other players began bringing fruit to the table in hopes of increasing their luck. Chan says he only had an orange with him because of the pleasant scent, as smoking, which was allowed in many tournaments then, bothers him.

Johnny's legacy is also cemented off the felt and on the big screen, as a video clip of the 1988 WSOP Main Event heads up match victory between himself and Eric Seidel is featured in the movie "Rounders," in which Johnny Chan also makes a cameo appearance.
