Alana recently joined the W.K. Kellogg Foundation as a Program Manager of the Family Economic Security team. This team supports programs that increase family stability, fosters quality jobs, careers and entrepreneurship, and promotes secondary achievement and financial independence. As a program manager, she coordinates grantmaking activities, analyzes reports, and conducts environmental/ data scans.Before joining the foundation in 2013, Alana managed a $22M Living Cities investment in Detroit (The Integration Initiative). In that role, her responsibilities included managing the development and execution of eight key strategy areas in three neighborhoods along the Woodward Corridor. Her professional experience also includes providing technical assistance, training, and support on special projects for public housing authorities. Prior to this she oversaw project execution, management, and client engagement of facility, operational and organizational improvement programs primarily at airports nationwide.Alana holds bachelor’s degree in architecture from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She is also a graduate of Leadership Detroit (Class 34). Alana is an active volunteer in her local community.
