Ashok N. Srivastava, Ph.D. is the Chief Data Scientist at Verizon and is leading the development of a new research and development center in Palo Alto focusing on the development of advanced technologies based on large-scale machine learning and analytics to build new revenue streams for Verizon. In this capacity he sets the strategic direction for big-data analytics for the corporation. He has extensive experience in research, development, and implementation of machine learning and optimization techniques on massive data sets. He has built successful research and development teams in these areas and serves as an advisor to numerous companies such as Trident Capital and MyBuys in the area of big data analytics and strategic investments. Ashok is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA).
