George Weiss is the founder and chairman of Say Yes to Education, a nonprofit organization committed to dramatically increasing high school and college graduation rates for low-income students. He is also CEO of Weiss Multi-Strategy Advisers, LLC, and president of George Weiss Associates, Inc. George Weiss Associates, founded in 1978, has offices in Hartford, Conn., and New York. Weiss is the founder of the Orphan Disease Pathway Project, a nonprofit dedicated to finding cures and effective treatments for rare diseases. At the University of Pennsylvania, Weiss is former vice chair of the board and former chair of the Making History Campaign. A trustee at Penn Medicine and a member of the Penn Medicine Executive Committee, Weiss earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Finance.
