Joanna Teplin

Co-Founder of The Home Edit & Co-Host of "Master The Mess"

After graduating from University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in film and an affinity for painting, Joanna moved to San Francisco, where she continued to gain artistic inspiration. Joanna’s love of cards, stationery and invitations blossomed when she began working at and managing San Francisco’s famous Union Street Papery. When she was 22 years old, Joanna developed a boutique greeting card line, he said. she said.

About 6 years later, Joanna moved with her husband to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, she expanded her passion for paper, people and managing the stress of wedding planning by founding Joanna Teplin Invitation Consulting in 2007. After working and living in Los Angeles for two years, her husband’s job transferred them back to San Francisco. In 2011 they had a baby… which led to a new life, new ideas…. and ultimately a new business…. joanna and company- saving time for busy people.

In December, 2013, Joanna and her family relocated to the Nashville area for Jeremy's job. In August 2015, Joanna and Clea Shearer were introduced by a mutual friend and they founded a new home organizing company, The Home Edit. The Home Edit is a full-service home organization company blending functionality with our signature aesthetic.
