Lauren Duca is a freelance journalist, activist and columnist who formerly wrote for Teen Vogue's political column "Thigh High Politics." In September 2019, she released a book on young people and the future of American politics titled "How to Start a Revolution."

Previously, Duca has contributed to Huffington Post, Vice, Complex, New York Magazine, Brooklyn Magazine, Pacific Standard, The Nation, and The New Yorker. In 2015, Duca won the National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Award for best film, television or theater feature for her Huffington Post piece, "The Rise of the Woman-Child."

Toward the end 2016, Lauren Duca was on Fox News for 10 minutes — but that was enough time to completely change her career. Duca wrote the mega-viral essay for Teen Vogue titled “Donald Trump Is Gaslighting America,” which she says is “still true” today. The article’s overnight popularity surpassed every expectation she had. The essay became the magazine's most-viewed post, and has been widely cited as a turning point in the fashion magazine's reputation, with a newly recognized political dimension. Shortly afterward, she went on Fox for an interview with Tucker Carlson, which devolved into interruptions, shouting and name-calling. The reactions online were swift and, Duca said, “scary for a solid half-hour.” The popularity she gained in 2016 came with mixed reactions - some criticizing her views and others hailing her as a feminist hero.

Duca recived a Bachelors in English and Philosphy from Fordahm University and a Master's in Journalism and Critical Theory from New York Univeristy.
