Former Navy SEAL & Author Known for "The Terminal List" Series; Host of the "Danger Close" Podcast

Jack Carr is a bestselling thriller author, former Navy SEAL sniper, and avid outdoorsman. Over his 20 years in Naval Special Warfare, Carr transitioned from an enlisted SEAL sniper to various commanding positions, leading assault and sniper teams in Iraq and Afghanistan, practicing counterinsurgency in the southern Philippines, and commanding a Special Operations Task Unit in the most Iranian influenced section of southern Iraq throughout the tumultuous drawdown of U.S. Forces. He is a two-time recipient of the Bronze Star Medal with V Device, reflecting his distinguished military career.

In addition to his military service, Carr is known for his critically acclaimed series of thriller novels, "The Terminal List." His debut novel of the same name was not only a commercial success, winning the Goodreads Choice Award for Debut Author and the Thriller Award for Best First Novel, but also gained cultural significance as it was adapted into a television series starring Chris Pratt. Continuing the series, Carr has published other notable titles, including "True Believer," "Savage Son," "The Devil's Hand," "In the Blood," "Only the Dead," and "Red Sky Mourning."

As a sought-after consultant in the outdoor and tactical industries, Carr frequently shares his insights on leadership and team building with businesses across industries. He extends his reach through his podcast, "Danger Close," and is also currently working on his first non-fiction book, "Targeted," set to be released in late 2024. Carr serves on the board of directors of Valor for Life, a non-profit organization providing military veterans with no-cost surgical spine care. He retired from active duty in 2016 and now resides with his wife and three children in Park City, Utah.
