Lillah McCarthy

President LMCC Entertainment

Lillah McCarthy is an actress turned entertainment executive and the President of LMCC Entertainment.

What do the Emmy® and Golden Globe ® winning television series "The Simpsons," "Get a Life," "Saving Grace," "The Closer" and "Men of A Certain Age" have in common? McCarthy. McCarthy developed, produced and launched an extraordinary roster of hit shows over the course of her career. She was instrumental in advocating for female leads in a number of shows, paving the way for long-term industry change. The Primetime Emmy Award winning procedural, "The Closer," was originally pitched with a male lead until McCarthy pointed out that there were no female-led crime shows on air at the time, leading to Kyra Sedgwick being cast as the lead for a 7 season run on TNT. McCarthy then went on to develop "Saving Grace", which starred Holly Hunter, and "Rizzoli and Isles", which included two female leads. Among McCarthy’s other successful television series credits are the long-running hits Stephen Spielberg’s "Falling Skies," Michael Bay’s "The Last Ship" and "Early Edition" starring Kyle Chandler.

McCarthy’s career extends from network executive to executive producer, studio executive, manager, actor and director. She was instrumental in the growth of 2 television networks as the Senior Vice President of Original Programming for TNT and TBS and Senior Vice President of Series Programming for the Fox Network. She also worked as an Executive Producer for Sony Television. McCarthy is an adjunct professor at the American Film Institute, a member of the DGA, SAG, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Hollywood Radio & Television Society, Women In Film and a founding member and vice president of GreenLight Women, an organization whose mission is to support and advocate for women over 40 in the entertainment business.
