Laura Kuenssberg is the well-known face of the BBC’s political programming, having been appointed as the first female political editor of BBC News in 2015. Before that she was Newsnight's chief correspondent and a regular presenter of the program after a spell as ITV News business editor. Kuenssberg has lived and worked in France and in the United States. Before joining the BBC in 2000, Kuenssberg studied history at the University of Edinburgh, graduating with a first-class honours MA degree, and spent a year studying at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.. She is a proud Glaswegian, but lives happily in East London. She loves Twitter.
