Whitney Lee Thompson Forrester first came into the public eye as the first plus-size model to win the tenth cycle of "America's Next Top Model." Following her victory, she secured lucrative contracts with CoverGirl cosmetics and Elite Model Management. This led her to be featured in a US national TV commercial and print advertising for CoverGirl. She also graced the cover and a six-page editorial in the July 2008 issue of "Seventeen" magazine, and was featured on a billboard in Times Square. Additionally, Thompson was featured on the cover of "Jacksonville Magazine" and "Plus Model Magazine."

Apart from her professional accomplishments, Thompson also served as an ambassador for the National Eating Disorders Association and was named one of the 'Most Influential Women of 2008' by Lifestyle MSN. Outside of her modeling career, she owns a restaurant and runs a blog where she shares her experiences about traveling, modeling, veganism, and fashion.
