Aidan Kohn-Murphy is the founder and Senior Advisor of Gen-Z for Change, a nonprofit advocacy coalition of over 500 social media creators. The organization, which initially started with the TikTok account "TikTok for Biden" to support Joe Biden's presidential campaign, now leverages digital platforms for social justice and promotes civil discourse and political action among Generation Z. As of August 2022, it is a registered 501(c)(4) organization. Gen-Z for Change is a leading voice in progressive politics with an audience of over a half billion and receiving 1.5 billion monthly views.

In Kohn-Murphy’s two years as Executive Director, he effectively scaled Gen-Z for Change from a nascent idea into a highly successful youth organization, boasting a core team of 15–20 people and a coalition of over 500 content creators and activists. In addition to overseeing partnerships with the White House, the DNC, Fair Fight, Made to Save, March On, Climate Power, Accountable Tech, and more, Kohn-Murphy and his team also coordinated a one-hour briefing with the White House for 30 prominent TikTok content creators about the United States’ strategic goals regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Kohn-Murphy and Gen-Z for Change have received significant media attention, with features in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Politico, among others. Recognized for his leadership and impact, Kohn-Murphy was named one of GLAAD’s 20 under 20 and the 2023 MIT Solve’s Ambassador. He has also shared his insights and experiences at the Aspen Ideas Festival, the Harvard Institute of Politics, and other significant platforms.
