Anita Gupta - born in Boston and raised in the Midwest - is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of creating industry-changing innovations over the past three decades. In 2022, Gupta was recognized for her work as a Forbes 50 Over 50 honoree.
Gupta and her brothers, Rakesh and Neal, founded Aptara in 1989. Gupta drove the professional publishing services division and led sales and marketing for the entire company. With Gupta’s leadership, Aptara became the largest publishing services company in the world, and was listed on the Inc 500 three years in a row, as one of the nation’s fastest growing companies.
In 2009, Gupta and her partners founded KiwiTech, which has created an ecosystem for entrepreneurs to succeed by supporting their technology development and investment efforts. KiwiTech is now partnering with, and invested in, over 500 startups.
Gupta was a speaker at CES 2023 in Las Vegas, judging pitch competitions with MyGlobalVillage. She was a keynote speaker at the US State Department event at the Mauritanian Embassy and spoke on Women’s Economic Empowerment. In the past, Gupta has presented at the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs, India’s FICCI Big Data and Analytics Conclave, and KiwiTech's Female Founder Demo Days. Gupta will be hosting events and pitch competitions at Cannes Next during Cannes Film Festival 2023 in partnership with MyGlobalVillage.
Gupta holds a Bachelor’s degree from Marietta College in computer science and has received national accolades, including the Harrington Prize and the Stevenson Prize. Gupta was featured in Marietta College's alumni magazine, Trailblazer, for her entrepreneurial accomplishments. Gupta completed her Masters in Public Policy from The Kennedy School at Harvard University as a Sloan Fellowship recipient.
