Josh Sundquist
Author, Paralympian, Comedian & Motivational Speaker; Executive Producer & Writer of Emmy Award-Winning Series "Best Foot Forward"
Josh Sundquist is a Paralympian and bestselling author who has shared his story at events across the world. His high-energy blend of humor and inspiration motivates audiences to adopt his ski racing motto 1MT1MT (one more thing, one more time) to elevate their performance in sales, customer service, quality improvement, leadership, and more.
At age nine, Sundquist was diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer and given a fifty percent chance to live. He spent a year on chemotherapy treatments and his left leg was amputated. Doctors declared him cured of the disease at age thirteen and he took up ski racing three years later.
Sundquist trained for the next six years and in 2006 he was named to the U.S. Paralympic Ski Team for the 2006 Paralympics in Turino, Italy. Today, he represents the United States in international competition as a member of the U.S. Amputee Soccer Team.
Sundquist is a motivational speaker who has inspired audiences across the world. His speeches blend humor and heartfelt storytelling to inspire people. He is an in-demand keynote speaker for conferences of salespeople, leaders, and other professionals. He also performs standup comedy in an interactive one-man show on Friday nights in Los Angeles.
Sundquist's first memoir, "Just Don't Fall," was a National Bestseller in hardcover and inspired the Apple TV+ series "Best Foot Forward." Sundquist served as an executive producer and writer of "Best Foot Forward," which received an Emmy for Outstanding Casting for a Live Action Program and a nomination for Outstanding Children's or Family Viewing Series. His second memoir, "We Should Hang Out Sometime," is about his adolescent dating disasters and is under development to become a movie. His debut novel, "Love and First Sight," was published in 2017. His most recent book is "Semi-Famous" which explores fame and mental health.
