Kim Feil
President KLF Strategy Consulting and former CMO Walgreens
Kim Feil instigates transformational growth by identifying fresh consumer, channel and marketing directions for companies to tap unrealized competitive advantage.
She has served in general manager, consultant and retailer roles leading marketing, sales and strategy at Walgreens, Information Resources Inc, Sara Lee, Kimberly-Clark, Cadbury Schweppes and Frito-Lay, giving her a unique 360-degree perspective on the consumer packaged goods industry.
As President of Marketing for Information Resources, Inc., she directed the global innovation practice and launched the companys online business, CPGNetwork.com, leading multi-channel best practices as a consultant to the industrys manufacturers, retailers, trade associations and Wall Street analysts. As CEO of IRIs in-store merchandising venture she innovated new services to measure shoppers exposure to brands at the point of purchase.
Most recently, Kim was the first Chief Marketing Officer for Walgreens. She created a new marketing center of excellence to position the company as a leading community health and daily living destination by understanding the needs of the companys six million daily customers, online visitors and pharmacy healthcare patients. Under her transformational leadership, Walgreens Theres a way platform delivered new retail, pharmacy, health, cause and multicultural growth programs for the company. The Arm Yourself flu campaign earned the 2011 Grand Reggie and recognition as the 2011 top global retailer campaign by Oracle World Congress.
As the first CMO at Sara Lee North America, she recast its food brands portfolio growth strategy, and as the first global Senior Marketing Officer for Kimberly-Clark, built a new marketing center of excellence.
She has been named a Woman to Watch by Ad Age, Crains Chicago Business and Consumer Goods & Technology magazines; dubbed a futurist by Fortune Magazine in its nomination of her to their 2011 Executive Dream Team; recognized by Advertising Women of New York in 2010 for Changing the Game and recently inducted into the In-Store Marketing Institute Hall of Fame. She is active in the Network of Executive Women where she served on the Board for six years and was Chair of the American Heart Association 2012 Chicago Go Red for Women campaign.
