Sheida Hodge

Sheida Hodge is an internationally recognized expert in developing executives’ and employees’ cross-cultural awareness, cross-cultural communication, negotiation skills, intercultural management and teamwork competencies. With over 25 years of business experience, she is the president of Hodge International Advisors - a training, coaching, and consulting firm in Seattle - offering a full range of services geared toward helping executives succeed in the global workplace. Ms. Hodge has authored a book: Global Smarts: The Art of Communicating and Deal Making Anywhere in the World published by John Wiley & Sons. She has an MBA and a BS degree in mathematics.
Recently Sheida has spoken at conferences and has conducted programs for Colgate, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss, The Gucci Group, Honeywell, EV3, Thomson Prometric, Plastics Industry Association, European Relocation Associations, and University of Washington. These programs were recognized with rave reviews and provided members of the audience with critical insights toward achieving ongoing success in international business.
Over the past several years, Ms. Hodge has conducted seminars and presented at conferences and meetings in Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand, France, U.K., Germany, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Czech Republic, The Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Mexico and Brazil. She has also presented at major conferences such as ASTD, ERC, and SHRM. Ms. Hodge has designed, developed, and led advanced course on international communication and negotiation skills at the University of Washington Global Executive MBA program, UCLA, University of California Irvine, and Thunderbird. Through her first hand corporate experience and frequent international consulting, Ms. Hodge’s broad perspective delivers a comprehensive and effective approach to conducting business in the global arena.
She started her career with GE where she gained invaluable international experience traveling to Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East in support of GE’s international business development. More recently, she led Berlitz International’s Cultural Consulting Division as their Worldwide Managing Director. Ms. Hodge has been quoted as a leading expert in her field in such major publications such as The Wall Street Journal, the Chicago Tribune, the Orange County Register, CNBC, and CNN. She has also published numerous articles in several major trade publications.
