Antonio Donato Nobre is senior scientist at INPA - the National Institute for Amazonian Research in Brazil-, a leading organization for tropical rainforest investigation. He also holds a position as visiting scientist at INPE the Brazilian Space Research Institute, where he leads the terrain-modeling group of the Center for Earth System Sciences. With a productive and well-regarded academic career, Nobre is involved in topics like carbon, physical ecology, physical geography, hydrology, climatology, sustainability and Gaia theory.
