Emily Kimball has a Master's in Sociology from Boston University. Her career highlights include being the Community Organizer of the United Neighbors Settlement in Philadelphia, PA, being the Field Representative, of the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations, holding the title of Planner at the Virginia State Office on Aging, and being Outdoor Recreation Manager at Chesterfield Parks & Recreation in Virginia. Emily Kimball is also the owner of Make It Happen! Lifestyle Planning/Speaking Business, in Virginia.

Emily has authored articles on aging and adventure in national magazines and newspapers, and recently published A Resource Guide for Aging Adventurers: Unusual and Sometimes Inexpensive Opportunities for Volunteering, Learning, Traveling and Adventure.
