Mate Rimac is the founder and CEO of Rimac Automobili, an electric hypercar, drivetrain, and battery manufacturer based in Zagreb, Croatia. The company has produced two hypercars to date: the Concept One and Concept Two, which can reach speeds of up to 211 mph and 258 mph, respectively. Rimac has also partnered with luxury auto companies including Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Koenigsegg. In summer 2018, Rimac partnered with and sold a 10% stake to Porsche. Rimac founded the company in 2009, at 20 years old, with no formal college education. As of 2019, it had more than 500 employees.
