Henry Mintzberg      

Professor of Management Studies at McGill University; Business Author

Henry Mintzberg is the Cleghorn Professor of Management Studies at the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University in Montreal, where he has been since graduating with a doctorate from MIT in 1968, with stints at other universities in the U.S., France, and England.

Mintzberg's work focuses largely on managerial work, strategy work and forms of organization as they relate to the business world. Mintzberg is also an esteemed business author, with books including "Managers Not MBAs: A Hard Look at the Soft Practice of Managing and Management Development" and "Bedtime Stories for Managers: Farewell to Lofty Leadership...Welcome Engaging Management."

He holds an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from McGill University, a master's degree in management from MIT and a PhD in management, also from MIT.
