Peter DeWitt (Ed.D.) is a former teacher and K-5 principal. He provides keynotes and workshops on school leadership and inclusive school climates nationally and internationally. He works as a leadership coach in the United States.

DeWitt is the author of several books, including "Collaborative Leadership: 6 Influences That Matter Most," "School Climate: Leading with Collective Efficacy," "Coach It Further: Using the Art of Coaching to Improve School Leadership," and "Instructional Leadership: Creating Practice Out Of Theory."

His articles have appeared in education journals at the state, national, and international levels. He also writes the widely read Finding Common Ground, published by Education Week. He is the 2013 School Administrators Association of New York State's (SAANYS) Outstanding Educator of the Year.

DeWitt has collaborated with numerous national and international organizations, including the American Association of School Administrators, the NEA, ICSEI, the National Association of School Psychologists, ASCD, Ontario Principal's Council, PDK International, the National School Climate Center, GLSEN, PBS, NBC, and ABCnews.com.
